Stanislav Tourbanov is a Head of the Tax team of the Moscow office of CMS with over twelve years' experience as a tax specialist. His practice covers all aspects of domestic and international taxation.
He regularly advises businesses, developers, public bodies and financial institutions on the tax aspects of financings, mergers and acquisitions, reorganisations, real estate transactions, executive compensation, wealth management and international transactions. He also advises shareholders and investors with respect to the structure and tax aspects of their investments and prepares tax and estate plans or schemes.
Stanislav has also developed special expertise in the field of inspections by the Tax Administration and tax litigation before the Russian courts.
Prior to going into private practice, Stanislav worked as the deputy head of the Legal Department of the Russian Tax Service for the City of Moscow. He initially began his professional activity as in-house counsel with a major Russian bank. From 1998 to 2003, Stanislav also served as a part-time lecturer at the Law Faculty of the Financial Academy of the Government of the Russian Federation.
Stanislav holds a Law Degree from the Moscow State University (MGU). Besides Russian, he is fluent in French and English.
