On 7 May 2008 the Federal law №57-FZ “On Procedure for Foreign Investments in Business Entities of Strategic Importance for Russian National Defence and State Security” came into force.
The adoption of the Law raised a number of issues relating to its practical application and the legal implications of the new regime for approving transactions.
