Maxim Boulba is a partner in CMS’ Corporate team and head of the Russia TMT Group. His practice focuses on corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, competition/antitrust, public offerings and securities, corporate governance and general commercial law.
Maxim advises clients on the best available corporate structures to carry on business in Russia and develops legal strategies for majority and minority shareholders. He has represented purchasers and sellers across Russia and CIS countries in a wide variety of acquisitions and divestitures and provides general corporate and commercial advice domestically to public and private client companies that operate in areas such as telecommunications, media, consumer products, manufacturing, packaging, energy, natural resources and commodities, retailing and real estate.
In the context of M&A transactions and corporate reorganisations, he has been advising foreign investors on Russian antimonopoly requirements and obtaining antitrust clearance in relation to the acquisition of companies and assets located in Russia. He has also successfully represented corporate clients in administrative proceedings before the antimonopoly authorities.
He is regularly involved in the drafting and negotiating licensing and distribution agreements.
Maxim holds a Law Degree from the Moscow State University (MGU). He is fluent in French and English. |
