CMS has a first-rate worldwide reputation in advising clients on infrastructure and public-private partnership (PPP) projects as acknowledged by the leading international legal directories Chambers Global and Chambers Europe.
In Russia, we have a dedicated infrastructure and PPP team of 10 lawyers (both Russians and expats). The team has been at the forefront of the PPP initiative in Russia since the early 2000s. We work closely with sponsors, lenders and the public sector – which means that our advice is realistic, practical, commercial and above all – based upon experience of having addressed many of the issues before.
Our multidisciplinary team is able to offer clients a complete service covering the full range of legal documents and issues relating to the tendering, design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of projects. We support our clients through experience in a variety of sectors including: education, energy, health, other social infrastructure, transport, waste and water.
The team has advised on large scale projects in Russia involving PPP models and concession arrangements and was involved in projects related to:
- toll roads
- bridges
- tunnels
- airports
- ports
- construction of plants and power stations
- education and healthcare
In addition, as and when needed, the team in Moscow can draw upon the additional resources of the CMS infrastructure project finance group in London.
