Dominique is a partner and the Head of CMS Tax team with more than 15 years experience as a tax specialist. He specialises in corporate taxation, international tax planning and restructuring, and project finance, with a particular focus on the taxation of companies operating in the energy and resources sector.
Having worked both in energy consulting and as the international tax manager for a major French energy provider, where he was in charge of Russia, Germany and a number of eastern countries, Dominique has a wide range of experience and expertise of energy and resources work. Most recently he has been focusing on Clean technologies, emissions trading and renewable energy issues.
Dominique has advised on tax issues, tax planning, building, reviewing and providing tax assumptions for business modelling purposes, cross-border financing as well as wide-scale due diligence in relation to major investment projects in the energy and metallurgical sectors in Russia.
Dominique obtained his English Law Diploma and Master's degree in Business Law with major in corporate taxation at Lyon III University in 1993, at the same University he received his LLM in European Business Law in 1994, and in 1995 Dominique received his LLM in International Business Law at Bourgogne University. Dominique is also admitted to the French Bar.
Dominique is also a member of the Board of the French Chamber of Commerce in Russia and a regular speaker in France and Russia in various conferences on Russian legal issues.
