Competition & EU
Competition law affects every business on a daily basis. Failure to comply with competition rules could cause serious damage to a company. CMS Moscow competition team has more than 10 years of experience in Russian and CIS competition and antitrust matters. Our extensive and broad experience allows us to support our clients on a high level in all possible competition and antitrust issues, including merger clearance under Russian competition law, law on natural monopolies and the new law on strategic industries, competition and antitrust regulatory compliance, due diligence investigation of competition and antitrust issues, antimonopoly and administrating proceedings initiated by the Russian competition enforcement authorities for violation of the completion law requirements, dawn raids, competition litigation and GR lobbying. The team also represents Russian clients in the EU in competition related matters.
Furthermore, CMS in Moscow was one of the founders of the creation of a non-commercial partnership “Competition Support Association", consisting of other law firms and representatives of various companies and of the Federal Antimonopoly Service. The Partnership was founded to enhance the dialogue between businesses and officials on antimonopoly issues.
Our approach to competition law compliance is to strike the right balance between avoiding risks and business continuity.
