Charles-Henri Roy is a partner in CMS, Russia’s Tax team and heads the firm’s Consumer Products sector group in Russia. He started his career as tax associate in the Paris office of CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre in 2001 and has been working in Moscow since January 2004.
Charles-Henri has extensive experience of advising consumer products clients technical expertise and in-depth industry knowledge with a particular focus on Luxury Goods industry.
Charles-Henri has also a strong knowledge in all areas of tax law, specialising in French, Russian and cross-border corporate taxation. He develops tax strategies for Russian and international expansion, including merger and acquisition structures, real estate transactions and strategic repatriation plans. He also advises corporate clients on transfer pricing and thin capitalisation issues, customs regimes and international trade issues.
Charles-Henri is a member of IFA (International Fiscal Association) and lecturer at Poitiers University (DJCE).
Charles-Henri holds an LL.B. in Business Law from the University of Bordeaux and an LL.M. in Tax and Business Law from the University of Poitiers. He also graduated from the Ecole supérieure libre des sciences commerciales appliquées (Paris). He is a native French speaker, is fluent in English and Spanish and has working knowledge of Russian.
