Alexander Batalov is a counsel in the Moscow office of CMS. His areas of practice include real estate, construction law, project finance, general corporate law and aviation law.
Alexander has wide experience in advising on real estate transactions and the construction of industrial, office, sport, infrastructure and other facilities. He has over ten years’ of experience in representing Russian and foreign companies and financial institutions in relation to Greenfield and Brownfield projects in the automotive, energy, consumer goods, pharmaceutical and other industries including within the framework of large infrastructure projects.
Moreover, Alexander has also experience in advising on aviation law matters.
Alexander Batalov graduated with honours from Moscow State University, Faculty of Law in 1999 and received an LL.M. (Master of Laws) degree from Leiden University Law School in 2001.
In 2004 Alexander received his Ph.D in law and currently lectures at the Faculty of Law of Moscow State University.
Alexander Batalov is a native Russian speaker and is also fluent in English and French.
